The by-elections were held as Sira was vacant due to the demise of JDS MLA B Sathyanarayana, and since 2019 RR Nagar had no representative as MLA N Munirathna from the Congress party and defected to the BJP. The Karnataka By-election 2020 was held on 03 November 2020 For RR Nagar and Sira Constituencies successfully amidst Covid 19 pandemic. As informed by Chief Electoral Officer, the by-poll started from 07.00 AM to 06.00 PM. It was witnessed that RR Nagar reported only 45.2% turnout, whereas Sira reported an 84.5% turnout of voters. Hence, RR Nagar Election Result 2020 will be known only after counting votes, which will be held on 10 November 2020.
